The short version
We collect your email address when you sign up for the Co.llab prompt pack or the founder list. We use it to send you the pack, let you know when Co.llab launches, and occasionally share relevant updates. We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and you can unsubscribe any time.
If you want to know the specifics, the rest of this page has them.
Who we are
Co.llab is a product of The Human Co., a UK-based business run by Paul Thomas. For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, The Human Co. is the data controller for any personal information you give us through this website.
Contact: paul@thehumanco.org
Website: thehumanco.org
What data we collect
We collect the minimum we need to run the service. Specifically:
- Your email address — when you sign up via the form on this site
- Optional tags — a tag (e.g.
ld-prompt-pack) that tells us which form you signed up through, so we can send you the right thing - Standard request data — like your IP address and browser user agent, which our hosting provider (Vercel) logs as part of normal website operation
We do notcollect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment details, job titles, or any other information beyond what you submit. If you email us, we’ll have whatever you put in your email.
Why we collect it and the legal basis
We process your email on the legal basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You give consent by submitting the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
Specifically, we use your email to:
- Deliver the AI prompt pack you signed up for
- Let you know when Co.llab opens for founder access (mid-2026)
- Send occasional product updates and useful content related to Co.llab and instructional design
We don’t use your email for advertising or profiling.
Who we share your data with
We use Kit (ConvertKit) as our email service provider. When you submit the form, your email and tag are sent to Kit, who store and process them on our behalf as a data processor. Kit is based in the US and uses Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers. Their privacy policy: kit.com/privacy
Our website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may log standard request data (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and performance. Their privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
That’s it. We do not sell or license your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, Kit retains a suppression record (your email, marked unsubscribed) to prevent us from accidentally re-subscribing you. You can ask us to delete that record too.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Deleteyour data (the “right to be forgotten”)
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing, or restrict it
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email paul@thehumanco.org. We aim to respond within 7 days and complete any request within 30 days (the legal maximum).
If you think we’ve handled your data badly and we haven’t fixed it to your satisfaction, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We don’t use tracking or analytics cookies on this site. Our hosting provider may set essential cookies to operate the website (for example, to protect against abuse). These cookies don’t identify you and are not shared with third parties.
If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.
Children
This service is not intended for people under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, email subscribers. Your continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
